2024 Scholarship Applications Are Closed!

Our scholarship application is taking a slight turn in 2024. We are focusing our giving on three categories, so sort of blown up Go Your Own Way effort! Take a gander at the categories below. There is a single application form for all three options. If your request falls into multiple categories, just go ahead and pick your favorite. Applications will be open until Nov 24th.

Adventure: A trip, equipment, or experience that is out of reach without financial support. Examples are a guided trip up the Grand, or funding towards a film that someone wants to produce, or outdoor adventure gear to begin to enjoy a new pursuit. 

Career Advancement: A course or certification that helps a woman further their career goals in outdoor pursuits. Examples might be Pro level avalanche courses, a WFR course…

Education: This for anyone who would like to enjoy the mountains safer and with more knowledge. Examples might include Avy 1, mountain bike courses, WFA course, or climbing courses to improve skills.

Examples of past scholarships: 

• Enrolling in an advanced avalanche education course (Avy 1, Avy 2, PRO, etc.)

• Wilderness First Aid course and Wilderness First Responder course

• Equipment for women who are looking to start or advance their outdoor experiences

•  Enrolling in courses to receive other outdoor education certifications

•  Entering a mountain bike race, skiing competition, trail ultramarathon, etc. Our funding could be used to cover your race registration fees, travel costs, etc. 

• Making a ladies’ ski movie

•  Funding for certifications for coaching (ex. nordic ski coach, mountain bike coach)

All women (transgender and cisgender) as well as non-binary people who identify with the women’s community are welcome and encouraged to apply for Women in the Tetons' (WITT) scholarships!
