Scholarship Program 2017-2018
All applications for the 2017-2018 scholarship program are closed.
The Jackson Hole Babe Force Scholarship Program is designed to offer financial support to women who want to become stronger, smarter, and more confident in the mountains. Our 2017/2018 Scholarship Program is underway, and we’re currently accepting applications!
With your help through our fundraising efforts, we have raised enough funding to offer four types of scholarships this year. Read more about each type below. Applicants may apply to more than one category of scholarship. The application deadline for each of our scholarship is November 30, 2017.
Facing your fears
This scholarship is for one spot at the “Elevate 1” Women's Ski Camp at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort on January 15-19, 2018. This scholarship includes rental skis, lift tickets, and four days of world-class instruction designed to take your intermediate-to-advanced ski skills to the next level.
Progression Session I
This scholarship is for 12 spots in a Avalanche 1 education course hosted by the American Avalanche Institute and the Jackson Hole Babe Force in Jackson, Wyoming on February 1-4, 2018. The 12 winners will participate in an avalanche education course together. This course will be a unique opportunity to learn critical mountain safety while meeting like-minded women in the community, and maybe even some new female backcountry ski partners!
Progression session II
The second Progression Session scholarship is for two spots in an Avalanche Level 2 education course hosted by the American Avalanche Institute. In contrast to our Level 1 Scholarship, each recipient of a Level 2 scholarship may choose any available American Avalanche Institute Level 2 course that fits her schedule, so long as she completes the course during the 2017/2018 winter. This scholarship is for women who have completed their Avy 1 certification and are seeking to further their snow-safety knowledge.
This reimbursement-type scholarship is designed to help shoulder the financial burden of female athletes who want to take their sport to the next level through competition. Applicants are encouraged to apply for reimbursement for entry fees and travel costs, and this scholarship is open to all types of competitions in both winter and summer sports.
This scholarship is for our younger Babes, ages 9 to 18. This scholarship is for a five-day summer ski racing camp hosted by Keely’s Ski Camp for Girls in July of 2018 in Mt. Hood, Oregon.
